Codeine

Codeine is a prescription opioid medication commonly used under medical supervision for mild to moderate pain and, in some formulations, for cough suppression.

Common Strengths:

Codeine is commonly available in 15mg, 30mg, and 60mg tablet strengths for pain relief. In combination products (such as with paracetamol/acetaminophen), it may also be found in lower per-dose amounts depending on formulation and country regulations. Some cough syrups may contain codeine in measured concentrations per 5mL dose.
